If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.” If we aren’t careful, our humble and well-meaning discussions about fairness can turn into spiteful acts of argumentation and ultimatums. Sometimes, the longer these drag on, the more contentious they become. What was once about salary increases now becomes a matter of dignity and honor. So we will pray for everyone in the city and the union as they navigate negotiations. We pray they seek peace and mutual honor and never repay evil for evil.

It's a call for both workers and employers to approach their roles with integrity, respect, and a sense of higher purpose. As the city of angels faces this earthly challenge, may they find a path of understanding, compassion, and resolution that honors the dignity of every individual.
